After arriving at the farm, the local farmers will welcome us and prepare us for a peaceful sleigh ride through the surrounding forest. Before starting, you will receive safety instructions and warm winter clothing to ensure a comfortable experience.
The reindeer sleigh safari takes place in a quiet forest setting where you can relax and enjoy the silence of nature under the Arctic night sky. If conditions are right, there is a chance to spot the Northern Lights during the ride, although this is not the main focus of the tour. After the safari, the farmers will share insights about reindeer life throughout the year while offering hot drinks and sweets by the fire. At the end of the experience, we will return you to your accommodation.

One of the best experience of our lifetime so far, the ride is just magical. No amount of pictures and videos can justify the authenticity that this place offers.
Santa Claus Reindeer was simply the best experience. The staff was super kind and you could just sense their genuine love for their reindeer. After riding a reindeer sleigh in the beautiful Finnish forest, we sat down in a lovely cabin (inspired by the Sámi’s traditional housing) where they baked Karelian pies fresh for us and served hot glöggi and crispy sweet gingerbread cookies. We learned a lot about the reindeer, but also about Rovaniemi. Then we fed the baby reindeer and the reindeer families, and got some of our most beautiful trip memories from this. We went on the Daytime Reindeer Sleigh Ride & Arctic Farm Experience in Lapland and it simply was, without a doubt, the best part of our whole Lapland trip!! ! Everyone was so welcoming, and Johanna especially made the experience unforgettable. Thank you so much to the Santa Claus Reindeer team — you made us fall even more in love with Finland!!!
A great experience and thoroughly enjoyed by the family, reindeer are hardworking animals once domesticated and I went could see the staff were feeding and caring for the animals as individuals. Unique and very special - thank you.
