Embark on a 12-day journey through the Kingdom of Bhutan and explore its pristine valleys, mountains, and vibrant culture. This immersive experience combines sightseeing with a 3-day trek through forests of juniper, bamboo, magnolia, and rhododendrons, alongside gentle streams of clear mountain water. Along the way, you will visit impressive fortresses, temples, and charming villages, meeting hospitable local people and gaining firsthand insight into Bhutanese traditions. The trek is suitable for most fitness levels, offering beautiful scenery and a chance to enjoy the tranquility of the Himalayan landscape. Travelers will be guided by an experienced English-speaking local guide who ensures a seamless and enriching adventure. Accommodation includes nine nights at 3-star hotels and two nights of full-service camping in the wilderness with tents, mattresses, and all necessary camping equipment except sleeping bags. Meals and light snacks are provided, and porters and pack animals assist during the trek. Ground transportation, trekking permits, and medical treatment in case of injury are also included, making this a worry-free expedition.
Participants should pack lightly and bring trekking essentials such as hiking boots, layered clothing, rain gear, reusable water bottles, and a medium-sized backpack. Additional recommended items include trekking poles, camera, power pack, first aid kit, sunscreen, sunglasses, and insect repellent. While the trek is moderate and mostly on gentle slopes, travelers are advised to be physically prepared and consult their physician regarding altitude, as the route reaches heights of 3100 to 3400 meters. Thin layers are best for fluctuating weather, and shorts are not suitable during cultural visits. Proper preparation ensures a safe and enjoyable experience, allowing participants to fully appreciate the natural beauty, local culture, and peaceful environment of Bhutan.
