It is a tourist trap when the train comes. But otherwise a nice little market.
It is not like the old days where the merchants would actually put their stuff next to the tracks anymore, at least not much, everything got moved in land. The only thing you see on the side of the tracks are tourists 😂 If you move down the tracks a little bit further, everything disappears. But the train coming through is still pretty cool though, this is as close as you can get!
I’m not sure if the market is built around the railway tracks or if the railway cuts straight through the market, but either way, this is a market where you can see the train pass by up close. The market doesn’t just sell goods for tourists; it also offers fresh fish and fruits for the locals, allowing you to feel that it truly supports the local food culture. It’s a market you should visit at least once when you come to Bangkok.
