Begin your journey on the lush Caribbean side of Costa Rica, where the adventure starts in the heart of Tortuguero National Park—often referred to as the country’s “little Amazon.” This remote and wildlife-rich region is only accessible by boat or small plane, adding to its secluded charm. Spend two nights in a local village, guided by a private nature expert who will help you explore the winding canals of the rainforest by boat. As you cruise through these serene waters, you’ll have the chance to spot howler monkeys, caimans, colorful toucans, green iguanas, and other fascinating wildlife. The experience offers an intimate connection with nature in one of Costa Rica’s most biodiverse regions.
From Tortuguero, continue south to the laid-back Caribbean coast and enjoy two nights in the vibrant beach town of Puerto Viejo. You'll visit Cahuita, a coastal village known for its relaxed Afro-Caribbean culture and its proximity to Cahuita National Park, home to coral reefs, lush jungle trails, and the white-sand beauty of Playa Blanca. This part of the trip blends nature and beach bliss, giving you the best of Costa Rica’s Caribbean side. We did several tours with Fransisco. He is a great guy and knows a lot about the animals and plants! He showed us a lot of animals and shared his knowledge with us. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Just awesome! I did the morning boat tour (electric) with Francesco to spot animals in the national parc. That was very informative, we could spot loooots of birds, basilics, ignana, caiman… Turtle nesting and laying eggs with Eddy: very impressive. And of course Jessica was super friend to help organizing. I totally recommend theses tours managed by people truly loving nature and life of this environment ❤️

This was super experience. In the morning with Jessica, Alex & Axel. This trio is amazing. Jessica in explaining everything in French & German with a lots of interesting details and Alex with his magic eyes. I Could not believe he saw what he saw!! In the Forest in the afternoon with Francisco wanted to transfer his knowledge. To finish at night with the turtles on the beach…speechless, probably won’t see this again in my life.

Highly recommend the Jaguar trail tour with Jessica. If you go alone, you will probably miss a lot of animals and wildlife because you probably won’t recognize them so it’s definitely worth taking someone experienced. Jessica was amazing, spotting animals almost on every few meters and giving us lots of insights on flora and fauna here. Highly recommend the tour. 🙌🙌

Jessica helped arrange everything from the transportation to the tours themselves. All the guides were great. We did the canoe tour, the guided hike, and the turtle tour. Everything was wonderful. I found it amazing they supported English, German, French, and Spanish. The guides really seemed they liked nature and was serious about it vs just being in it for the money. They provided binoculars and that was very important. Some other tours seemed to not have binoculars. You really need them to see the wildlife up close (unless you have a camera with a super lens). I was able to get some great shots with my cell phone and the binoculars. I do wish they rinsed out the life vests and especially the binocular straps with diluted bleach because the wet rag smell was overwhelming and we had a hard time getting the smell out of our clothes. Still, I would recommend them.
