Discover the interior of Terceira Island on a scenic hike through the forest of Japanese Ceeder Trees (Cryptomeria japonica), following a flowing stream and witnessing how the scenery changes with each viewpoint. The trail leads to the highest point at 700 meters above sea level, offering incredible views over cliffs and surrounding landscapes. Along the way, hikers can relax to the sounds of resident and migratory birds, observe endemic and invasive vegetation, and learn about the island’s breathtaking landscapes and local geothermal energy systems.

This guided hike provides a unique combination of nature, education, and adventure. The tour hotel pick-up and drop-off, as well as bottled water for the journey. Participants should bring appropriate clothing and footwear, sun cream, and a cap for protection. Please note that the hike is not wheelchair accessible, infant meals are not included, and hiking equipment is not provided. A full cancellation fee applies if booking is cancelled 1 day or less before the event.
