Shepherd's Hut

Two handbuilt traditional shepherds huts are nestled in a tranquil and private setting, offering a peaceful retreat for couples. Each hut features a comfortable full-size double bed with hypoallergenic pillows and a cosy duvet covered in brushed cotton linen. Inside, there is a small wood burner, a dresser, a double ring gas cooking hob, and all the essential plates, cutlery, and cookware needed for a self-contained stay. Outside, log seating and a heavy duty steel campfire with a skillet create an authentic glamping experience. Low voltage solar lighting provides an off-grid and low carbon holiday. A toilet and shower block is a short walk away, allowing guests to enjoy the remote wilderness while remaining within easy reach of amenities. The huts are located eight miles south of Forres, a town with restaurants, takeaways, bars, supermarkets, and shops, making it easy to combine nature with convenience.

The location is a hidden Scottish gem with easy access to the Cairngorm Mountains, beaches, and award-winning coastline. A short walk leads to the River Findhorn, often regarded as the most beautiful river in Scotland.
