Birding with Biologists

Enjoy a fun and informative class designed to help you identify birds in your surroundings. This workshop is geared toward beginning birders and provides guidance on how to use plumage, shape, behavior, and habitat to recognize different species. During the workshop, you will practice using binoculars and field guides as you explore the paved paths of Donna Fiala Eagle Lakes Community Park. Local expert biologists from Audubon Florida and Rookery Bay Research Reserve will lead the tour and provide guidance on identifying various birds in their natural environment. The experience is interactive and educational, offering opportunities to ask questions and learn from professionals in the field. By the end of the session, participants will have improved observation skills, a better understanding of bird behavior, and increased confidence in identifying local species while enjoying the beauty of the park.
