Departing from Maui Harbor, this special cruise invites guests of all ages up to 85 to witness humpback whales in their natural environment while being immersed in their hauntingly beautiful songs. Through a partnership with the award-winning immersive experience Sounds of the Ocean, you’ll enjoy a 25-minute audio journey using onboard hydrophone technology and personal headphones, allowing you to hear the whales as they communicate, court, and navigate the Pacific. Expert naturalists guide the journey, sharing fascinating insights into whale behavior and highlighting the vital role sound plays in the lives and cultures of these remarkable animals.

The experience departs from the Pacific Whale Foundation Ocean Store in the Maui Harbor Shops, next to the Maui Ocean Center, with check-in required 45 minutes prior to departure. Group sizes are limited to a maximum of 50 guests, ensuring an intimate and engaging atmosphere throughout the cruise. Complimentary water, juices, and sodas are included onboard. Guests are encouraged to wear low or flat-soled shoes, bring a light cover-up, and use sun protection for comfort during the outing.
