Molokini & Turtle Adventure

Explore the world-famous Molokini Crater on an intimate small-group snorkeling adventure departing from Maʻalaea Harbor. Aboard the Ocean Explorer, a 54-foot single-deck catamaran with open seating and unobstructed views, this experience is limited to just 34 guests, offering plenty of space and a relaxed atmosphere. Snorkel the iconic volcanic crater, renowned for its crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, colorful tropical fish, and resting seabirds. The flexible itinerary also includes a second carefully chosen snorkel site for the day, such as Turtle Arches, along with scenic cruising along Maui’s stunning coastline. A continental breakfast is served in the morning, followed by a freshly prepared BBQ lunch onboard, making this a full and rewarding day at sea.

Designed as an intermediate to advanced snorkel adventure, this tour is best suited for confident swimmers seeking an immersive ocean experience. Certified Marine Naturalists are onboard to provide snorkel instruction, fish identification, and educational insight throughout the trip, while premium snorkel gear and flotation devices are included. The meeting point and check-in location is the Pacific Whale Foundation Ocean Store at the Maʻalaea Harbor Shops, next to the Maui Ocean Center, with check-in required 45 minutes prior to departure and paid parking available at the harbor. Guests should bring sunglasses, a hat, and a light jacket, and note that vessels and retail locations are cashless except for gratuities. Children under 7 are not permitted, and the tour is not recommended for non-swimmers, pregnant women, or those with certain medical or mobility conditions.
