This tour is carefully organized according to the tides and begins about one and a half hours before the tide reaches its highest point. Guests start at the office and travel to Boca Coronado where they board a boat to explore the mangrove channels. Along the journey visitors can discover more than five species of mangrove trees each displaying unique flowers and fruits that highlight the richness of this coastal ecosystem. The guided tour provides insight into the natural environment while allowing guests to fully enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

As the boat moves through the mangroves guests may encounter a variety of wildlife including American crocodiles alligators raccoons hawks ibis basilisks monkeys and several species of herons. Colorful orchids grow naturally throughout the area adding to the scenic beauty.
