Discover Mermaid is a one hour introductory experience designed to give participants a glimpse into the underwater world of mermaiding. Guided by a trained instructor this session takes place in shallow water and focuses on learning how to use a monofin safely and comfortably. Participants also gain insight into what it means to be part of the mermaid community making this a perfect option for those who are curious about mermaiding and want to explore their abilities in a supportive environment.
The experience includes rental of a monofin and mermaid tail along with a mask and snorkel. Participants must be able to swim twenty five yards float comfortably on both their back and front while holding their breath for at least fifteen seconds and tread water for one minute. Mermaids must be at least six years old and able to swim unassisted. This introductory course allows participants to build confidence while enjoying a fun and unique aquatic activity.
