Via Ferrata Atajate: A Vertical Adventure in the Heart of Costa del Sol

Atajate’s via ferrata is an exciting, aerial, and varied route, perfect for those new to this adventure sport. Spanning eighty seven meters in length, this ferrata offers a thrilling yet accessible experience, making it ideal for beginners looking to challenge themselves. The course features a mix of natural rock formations and installed climbing elements, providing a dynamic and enjoyable ascent.

As we climb up to a maximum height of forty meters, we will encounter exciting obstacles such as an extra lead section, a nine meter long monkey bridge, and a thirty meter Tibetan bridge. While this via ferrata does not require significant physical strength, it does demand a good sense of balance and coordination, especially when crossing the suspended bridges. These elements add to the adventure, making the route both fun and rewarding.

Thanks to its strategic location and orientation, the ferrata offers breathtaking three sixty degree panoramic views over Valle del Genal and the charming Andalusian town of Atajate.
