Kayaking Adventure Unveils Hidden Coastal Wonders Along Altea’s Morro de Toix

A four-hour kayaking excursion along the dramatic cliffs of Morro de Toix in Altea is offering adventure seekers a chance to explore one of the region’s most scenic coastal routes. Designed for participants aged ten and above, the experience combines light physical activity with discovery, making it accessible to families and beginners alike.

The route takes kayakers past striking natural landmarks, including Punta del Mascarat, Cala del Racó del Corb, and Cala del Gasparet. Along the journey, participants navigate crystal-clear waters framed by towering rock formations and secluded coves, with opportunities to stop for swimming and snorkeling in sheltered bays.

A highlight of the excursion is the visit to the Cueva dels Coloms, also known as the Cave of the Doves, which can only be accessed by sea. Inside the cave, participants explore unique rock formations and natural springs, with helmets and headlamps provided to ensure safe passage through the darker sections of the cave.

The tour operates in both morning and afternoon sessions, offering calmer waters at sunrise or a more invigorating sea breeze later in the day. Using self-bailing double kayaks equipped with backrests, paddles, and life jackets, participants are guided throughout by experienced instructors who ensure safety while enhancing the overall adventure experience.
