I recently went on a trip to Vardzia, and it was such an amazing experience that I’d love to recommend it! I’d highly recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys nature and adventure. It’s definitely one of my favorite travel memories, and I’d go back in a heartbeat!
We definitely recommend this day trip! The driver Nikusha was very nice, sharing lots of advice for our visit to Borjomi and the rest of Georgia, and pointing things out along our journey. He played an audio guide in English sharing more information about the incredible historic sites we visited on the way to Vardzia (Rabati Castle and Khertvisi Fortress), which we really appreciated, and helped us to understand the history of this beautiful area. We also appreciated his careful driving avoiding the many dogs, horses and cows that share the road! He was very punctual and gave us a good amount of time to spend at each stop. The car is comfortable, clean and hybrid! We had a great day.
Nice and comfortable trip, I wanted to visit Vardzia for a long time. I was alone and joined the group of two other travellers, so for a single traveller it's a good option. But in this case better to book a little in advance. The nature in the area is beautiful, so the ride itself was enjoyable as well! And Nikusha answers all you questions. Could only recommend.
Trustworthy driver. 3 stops (Rabati, Khertvisi and Vardzia) with plenty of time to explore. We even took a small detour to see a mosaic in Likani on our way back, as I requested. He also helped me with some doubts I had regarding my trip around Georgia. Great way to make the most of your time in Borjomi, with a very nice driver. I can only recommend.
