The Angelita Cenote offers an extraordinary diving experience for advanced divers, allowing you to explore a unique underwater river formed by varying levels of salinity. This flooded cave, set amidst lush jungle surroundings, presents a mesmerizing visual display with pottery, fossils, and natural cavern formations along the way. The dive includes a multilevel descent of up to 135 feet, providing maximum bottom time with 100 cubic feet tanks. Divers will enjoy a carefully guided experience in small groups to ensure safety while exploring the depths of this fascinating cenote. Following the deep dive, a second dive in a shallower cenote offers additional exploration and adventure.
Participants are required to have Advanced Open Water certification and at least 25 logged dives to take part in this excursion. The trip includes all necessary scuba equipment, tanks, underwater flashlights, and guidance from professional English-speaking instructors. Breakfast, lunch, bottled water, and transportation from and back to the diving facility are also provided. Divers should be in good health, prepared for a physically demanding adventure, and bring essentials such as a swimsuit, towel, sun protection, and optional waterproof cameras for capturing the unique underwater scenery. This immersive dive ensures a memorable and safe exploration of one of the Riviera Maya’s most spectacular natural wonders.

- Certification is Mandatory: Please be prepared to present proof of your Advanced Open Water certification and your dive logbook showing a minimum of 25 logged dives. These are strict requirements for this advanced dive, and participation is not possible without them.
- Physical Fitness: This is a deep and challenging dive reaching depths of 135 feet (41 meters). Participants should be in good physical condition and comfortable with advanced diving techniques. Please ensure you are well-rested before the tour.
- Meeting Point & Duration: This is a full 10-hour day trip. Please note that the tour departs from and returns to our facilities. You will need to arrange your own transportation to the meeting point.
- What to Bring: While all dive equipment is included, we recommend you bring a towel, a dry change of clothes, and biodegradable sunscreen to protect the delicate cenote ecosystem. You may also want to bring a hat and sunglasses for before and after your dives.
