Siracusa, Ortigia & Noto Tour

This six-hour customizable tour of Sicily allows guests to explore the rich historical and cultural heritage of the region at their own pace. Beginning in Syracuse, participants will discover the Greek roots of the city with visits to the temples of Apollo and Athena on the island of Ortygia. The tour continues to the ancient Greek theater and the stone quarries of Neapolis, providing insight into the engineering and artistry of classical antiquity. Guests will also visit the site of ancient Epipoli and the cathedral, where the origins of the Greek Temple of Athena date back to the 5th century BC. Along the way, the legend of Arethusa, patron figure of Syracuse, will be shared, and participants will have the opportunity to see paintings by Caravaggio in the Basilica of Santa Lucia. The journey then moves to Noto, known for its Baroque architecture and the “Garden of Stone” on Meti Hill, rebuilt after the devastating 1693 earthquake.
