Discover the magical town of Tequila and the La Perseverancia distillery on this seven-hour Saturday tour from Guadalajara. The experience begins at the Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce with a warm mariachi welcome, followed by a luxury coach transfer to Tequila. During the journey, guests will enjoy tequila-based cocktails and learn about the history and production of tequila. Upon arrival, the tour includes a visit to the Botanical Garden and a Jima exhibition, where agave plants are harvested. Participants will have the opportunity to plant their own agave and prepare a traditional cantarito drink made with tequila, citrus juices, soda, and ice. The tour continues with a visit to Quinta Sauza, a historic manor house built in 1836, where guests can enjoy its gardens and history.
Guests will also tour the La Perseverancia distillery to learn the tequila-making process, followed by a professional tasting of blanco, reposado, and añejo tequilas. The experience includes a Mexican show with live mariachi music, folkloric ballet, charro skills demonstrations, and pre-Hispanic dances. A buffet of Mexican cuisine is provided, and a walking tour of downtown Tequila highlights the city center and the National Tequila Museum. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and shoes, bring a sweater, and be ready for light physical activity. The tour requires a minimum number of participants for operation and may be canceled if the minimum is not met.
