Rangi Ride

The Rangihaeata Headland Ride is a spectacular journey that takes you across beaches, headlands, estuaries, esplanades, and reserves. Spanning up to four hours, this ride showcases a variety of landscapes, from pristine beaches to lush coastal areas, while offering opportunities to cross the Onahau River and explore Maori heritage sites. Riders will be treated to breathtaking scenery, engaging stories, and memorable experiences along the way, making it a truly immersive adventure in nature.

This ride is suitable for riders of all experience levels and emphasizes light, balanced horsemanship while enjoying the stunning coastal environment. The welfare of the horses is a priority, so there is a weight limit of 90kg, though exceptions may be made depending on fitness and experience. For those over the limit, alternative flat beach rides are available.
