Staff were friendly, polite and helpful - after making a complaint we were given a car upgrade - thanks! … but each of 4 cars we inspected had lots of damage and the process of adding our photos to show the record of damage is not easy. Seems we can’t send videos either. I have a feeling there will be lots of expensive (3500 Euro) deposit shenanigans when we return the car and insurance details are examined….!! Not great!

We didn’t expect to take a shuttle bus at Dublin Airport, but the process was smooth and efficient. The staff was very friendly and even offered us the chance to try different car models to make sure our 3 large suitcases fit comfortably. Returning the car was straightforward as well — just set your GPS to ‘K67 WP71’ and follow the clear instructions, a very good rental experience with Hertz.

Not a good experience renting a car from Hertz in Dublin. After paying what I thought, was a large amount of money for a week's rental, the guy behind the desk wanted me to pay an additional €43 per day for full insurance cover that I had already taken out when hiring. He told that the cover wasn't as good as theirs and I would have to pay a deposit of over €4000 ! After paying this I went out to the car and upon inspection it was dented, scratched and dirty ! If this is the level of customer service and car quality that Hertz provides, I won't be renting another vehicle from them again. 😡
