Experience an unforgettable one hour horseback ride at Autumn Breeze Stables located at Snowshoe Mountain Resort in West Virginia. Riders will journey through a beautiful moss covered forest along up and downhill trails, crossing streams and enjoying magnificent mountaintop views of the Eastern Continental Divide. From the elevation of 4848 feet, guests can take in 360 degree panoramic mountain views while spotting wildlife including deer, black bears, turkeys, owls, and eagles. The trails are designed to take riders off the beaten path, offering an authentic mountain riding experience on rolling hills and scenic terrain. The horses are well trained and suitable for both beginner and advanced riders, ensuring a safe and enjoyable adventure for all participants.
All riders receive a pre riding orientation or private lesson before departure, covering safety, basic horse handling, mounting and dismounting, and what to expect on the trail. The ride is limited to a small group of six riders, allowing for personalized attention from the guide. Guests are advised to arrive thirty minutes early to allow time for check in and preparation. Closed shoes, personal medications, cameras, and drinks or snacks are recommended for the trip. This ride offers a peaceful and immersive way to connect with nature while enjoying the beauty of the West Virginia mountains.
