Na Opio Kai Programs

Na Opio Kai is a multi-day keiki program designed for both local children and visitors, offering a fun and educational introduction to water sports. Participants will engage in surfing, paddle sports, and sailing while learning essential water safety and Hawaiian cultural lessons. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, helping children develop critical thinking, leadership, and communication skills as they navigate the challenges of each activity. Throughout the day, keiki gain confidence and resilience while enjoying a safe and structured environment on the Wai Kai Lagoon and Wave.

The program includes daily drop-off and pick-up, with full-day sessions running from 7:30 to 2:00 PM. Children will receive lunch, participate in guided activities such as AquaVenture, paddling, surfing, and sailing, and engage in cultural education components that highlight Hawaiian ocean traditions and waterman etiquette. The sessions are designed to balance fun with learning, allowing kids to explore new skills, work as a team, and deepen their connection to the ocean while under expert supervision. Daily drop-in options are also available for select dates, making the program flexible for families seeking shorter experiences.
