A premium surf program at Wai Kai is offering visitors a guided experience that combines professional instruction with Hawaiian cultural education, led by local surfer Kekoa Cazimero. Centered around the 65-foot Wai Kai Wave, the session provides a controlled environment where participants can learn, practice, and refine their surfing skills under expert supervision.

The 45-minute surf session is tailored to individual ability levels, making it accessible for beginners while still challenging experienced riders. Guests receive hands-on coaching that covers technique, balance, and wave reading, all within a safe and structured setting designed for consistent performance and progression.

Beyond the physical aspect of surfing, the experience incorporates cultural learning that highlights Hawaiian values such as mālama ʻāina, or caring for the land, and the spiritual relationship between people and the ocean. This dimension adds depth to the session, connecting participants to the traditions and worldview that shape Hawaii’s surf culture.

Each program also includes a full guest experience with warmups, safety orientation, post-session feedback, equipment provision, and a meet-and-greet with Kekoa Cazimero. A community initiative further extends the impact of the program, with every 100 sessions funding a complimentary surf experience for a local child, reinforcing a connection between visitors, sport, and island community support.
