River Tubing

Enjoy a relaxing and fun tubing adventure on the Upper James River in Buchanan Virginia. The adventure begins with a quick orientation, followed by a short shuttle ride to the upstream launch site. Each participant is provided with a commercial grade river tube designed for comfort and safety, complete with carrying handles and seat bottoms. Once at the river, you will walk a short distance to the water and self-launch for a float back to the shop. The river features a mix of gentle current and easy class I rapids, making it suitable for beginners and experienced tubers alike.

The trip typically lasts between one and one and a half hours depending on water levels, and groups have the option to go a second time on the same day at no extra charge until the last tubing shuttle departs at four pm. All participants must be able to swim and wear appropriate footwear. Life jackets are included along with a safety orientation and all required shuttles. Tubes can be tied together for families or groups who want to stay connected while enjoying the calm and scenic journey down the river.
