We attended the cooking class with Val (Martin was also around and was very funny). The cooking class was everything we hoped it would be; they taught us how to make salsa, guacamole, and enchiladas and the food we made was delicious. A member of our group has a health-related salt restriction and they were able to accomodate it. The location was outside of town in the jungle. There was a stream and dogs and the resort was beautiful. We tasted several different tequilas and some mezcal. At the end we had an hour in the pool. It was a great experience, one of the best tours we have been on. I definitely recommend the tour to anyone that likes food and tequila.
Valeria and Martín were extremely kind amazing and super caring! They were there every step of the way. They explained and bonded with us along the way. 10/10 recommend. We did the horseback riding and honestly was the best experience ever!
It's hard to know what to expect when trying new tours but you won't be disappointed. Val, Martine & Julie were excellent, funny and full of passion. I like to be prepared so let me give you a run down.. it started with a drive from the Marina about 30 minutes to one location for people to do the horse back riding (different tour but I heard it was great), then another 15 minutes down a "fun" road to a beautiful off the grid location in the middle of a tropical tree surrounded valley next to a river (honestly breathtaking) where we did a tequila tasting followed by a cooking class. The cooking class was ran by Val (with Julie assisting with a great smile the whole time) where we chatted about her experience of cooking with her grandmother and family. After the cooking experience where we made four different items, we got to spend some time having some drinks in the pool until we headed back to the city. Well done Val! You were a star!
