Great experience renting a bike here for a few hours. The staff helped me get a good bike and advised about attaching my backpack (not in the city as it could get stolen!). They recommended a route out to the countryside which was great. Initially I had wanted to rent the bike in the countryside itself to get more "nature time", but this ended up being extremely convinient and much closer to the countryside than I expected (probably 20-30min by bike and you feel you're already out of the city). Super easy to access by ferry from Amsterdam Centraal. Left my ID as a deposit and got it back at the end. Overall I felt very welcome and comfortable here as a solo female traveler. Prices seemed fair, paid around 11 euro for 3 hours.
