Habitation Néron offers a fascinating glimpse into Guadeloupe’s history through an immersive guided tour of a former sugar mill and distillery. Visitors will walk among historical remains while learning about the island’s past during and after slavery and how this period shaped local culture and heritage. The tour also highlights the agricultural and industrial history of the region, with archival material and authentic remnants providing a tangible connection to the past. Along the way, guests can enjoy the beautiful park setting and explore the listed site Slave Route – Traces of Memory, which adds depth and context to the experience. The atmosphere combines culture, agriculture, and terroir, making it a unique educational opportunity for all ages.

The tour concludes with a tasting of three Papa Rouyo rums, an artisanal product made from sugarcane grown locally in Le Moule. Participants can savor the flavors while reflecting on the historical journey they have experienced. This activity is accessible to people with reduced mobility and is suitable for groups of up to 20 people. Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours in advance or in case of extreme weather. Guests are encouraged to bring sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable shoes.
