The Al Hambra complex is stunning! Be sure to choose the option that includes the Nasrid palace as that is the highlight. Also book in advance. I booked almost 6 months in advance. There was a couple in our group who bought their tickets on short notice and could not get into the Nasrid due to capacity. The only mixup we experienced was that at the orange ticket office the girl could not find our reservation by Discovering Spain and had to take quite some time to find it. Also our tour guide did not bring us back to the starting point of the tour after the last palace. A guide at the site directed us out to another entrance and we ended way off track trying to get back to our driver. Bring a map or confirm with guide the correct way back if they don’t return you to starting point.
Well organised from start to finish
Absolute rip-off! £300 for a 105 minute tour with absolutely no chance of seeing a sunset at the Alhambra! Do not take this tour from Malaga - you are paying most of the money for a taxi ride there and back. Pick up at 14:30, tour commences at 17:00, tour ends at 18:45 then a 1hr 30 min wait for the ride back to Malaga - the sun set just as we arrived back there! We have always been very satisfied with Get Your Guide tours in the past but this one really let us down - to be fair, the pick up and drop off timing was perfect, the driver was very good, and although the tour Gide was average, we did get relevant information about the Alhambra. The Alhambra was beautiful (although if you've been to the Alcazar in Seville, you're likely to be disappointed). As this is sold as a small group tour (15 max), we thought the real value would be at the Alhambra. Actually, we were the only 2 where it became obvious, the majority of the cost price was taken by the taxi, not the tour. Please avoid!
