Popoia Island Kayak and E-Bike Guided Adventure Tour

Experience a three hour guided E bike and kayak adventure to Flat Island, beginning at the Kailua storefront before heading out through town toward the beautiful shores of Kailua Beach. After a smooth check in, guests receive tips on parking, ocean access, kayaking techniques, and cultural insights into the Kailua area. The journey starts with an E bike ride, allowing you to easily transport your kayak to the beach. Along the way, the route passes Hamakua Marsh, an off the beaten path wildlife sanctuary home to native and endangered Hawaiian waterbirds. Once at the beach, you will launch your kayak and begin a scenic paddle across Kailua Bay toward the natural beauty of Popoia Island. The tour includes opportunities for snorkeling, cultural storytelling, wildlife viewing, and a nature walk around the island. Snacks and cold water are provided to keep you energized throughout the adventure.

Guests are reminded to wear swimsuits and bring shoes suitable for walking and biking, reef safe sunscreen, and a change of clothes. All equipment, including E bikes, kayaks, life vests, dry bags, and snorkeling gear, is provided. Participants must be comfortable riding a bike and physically able to paddle and swim. Riders must be sixteen or older to use an E bike, and families with younger children will have modified arrangements such as bike trailers or tandem kayaks.
