What a great getaway!! I travel alone often, I felt completely safe at The Bear Affair. Quiet, tranquil, relaxing and such a comfortable place to stay. I loved sitting outside by the fire pit and lounging in the hot tub. The amenities were perfect including plenty of bath towels and even separate hot tub towels. Although it’s called The Bear Affair I have yet to see one. I did however see some deer walking by. I might make this an annual trip. Go see for yourself if you just want to hang out or do some hiking, it’s the place to be.

Went here for a honeymoon getaway and everything was perfect! The staff had helped to set up a special surprise for us to celebrate our marriage. The cabin had everything we needed for the weekend, we cooked breakfast there every morning. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a day of exploring, and the indoor and outdoor wood burning fire places were a favorite of ours as well. It’s close to multiple waterfall hikes, zip lining, and the town of Helen which gave us plenty to do. We cannot wait to go back!

We spent our honeymoon at the Bear Affair ❤️ October 15-18. We're in love with this cabin. It's so cozy and comfy and quiet, we didn't want to leave. It's so close to Anna Ruby Falls and Helen is right up the road from that. We had so much fun. Hoping to return in the years to come☺️

We just got back from our anniversary trip to Helen, GA and “The Bear Affair” cabin and we didn’t wanna leave!! Please take this review with the following in mind: we are NOT the type of people who go camping. My wife is terrified of bugs and then every time we went outside she would stomp her feet and call out hello to make sure no bears would come around. It was pretty comical really. The ride into the cabin was a little bumpy bc it’s like dirt/gravel roads… it really got us into this adventure headspace. This cabin was PERFECT for two people. Technically I think you could go up to four people… like there’s 4 sets of towels and plates and etc… but I feel like 4 would be tight. You could do it if that’s how you like to travel but me personally I would prolly max 3 adults at this cabin comfortably. I don’t know how all the other cabins are.. but this one is LIT! Like literally the owner has lights in the trees around so it’s not scary at night. We built a campfire in the fire pit in the evening after dinner and the lights around were perfect… not too bright but enough to see around. Really well maintained property and upgraded nicely for us to go “glamping”. If you like hunting for Easter eggs this place is definitely the space..: like the attention to detail and the amount of “bear” themed items you find around the cabin were incredible. Definitely think the owner should make some kind of challenge like find all the “bear” things in the bear affair cabin and get some prize 😝 The other thing I noticed was usually outdoor spaces have like bug problems but my wife was super happy she was not greeted or swarmed by bugs. We just lit a citronella candle and let it do its thing for a few minutes before lounging around outside and my wife and I doused with bug spray. The hot tub was another fantastic way to end our days… super easy to use and it automatically shut off when it was “time” to get out.

My boyfriend and I had the best getaway here. This was the cutest cabin we have ever seen, super clean, comfortable bed! I definitely recommend this place for anyone trying to get away but be close enough for a lot of activities!
