I’m impressed with this building. When you look at the insignia on the wall, and see how many famous historic family was taken the knowledge here.

First they didn‘t send the tickets via mail. At least we were allowed to enter the anatomic theatre which was interesting, but I question why they would use a person with a strong accent to narrate the english audiofile. It was quite irritating. And then we couldn‘t enter the other room since we didn’t have out tickets again. Overall meh museum and then a lot of problems. Would not recommend.

The Archiginnasio in Bologna is absolutely worth visiting. It was once the main building of the University of Bologna, the oldest university in Europe, and you can really feel the history inside. The walls are covered with thousands of coats of arms from students and professors, which makes the place feel alive with the memory of centuries of study. The highlight is the Anatomical Theatre, where medical students once learned about the human body. The wooden carvings and statues are incredible and give you a real sense of how advanced the university was for its time. You don’t need much time to visit, but it leaves a lasting impression. If you’re in Bologna, I highly recommend it.
