The course also focuses on the core movements and footwork required for effective crack climbing. You will develop precise footwork techniques, learn to optimize body positioning and weight distribution, and practice a range of specialised jams including finger, hand, and fist jams. Special attention is given to mastering offwidth cracks, often considered the most challenging of all crack types, with strategies for transitioning between different techniques seamlessly. By the end of the course, participants will confidently identify and utilise appropriate crack climbing equipment, construct and apply tape gloves, execute advanced crack movement techniques, jam hands, fingers, and fists effectively, and approach even the most intimidating offwidth cracks with strategy and skill.
