Designed to encourage confidence, teamwork, and water awareness, the camps combine active outdoor experiences with engaging team-building games and problem-solving challenges that keep participants learning while having fun.
Experienced instructors supervise every activity, ensuring children receive professional guidance throughout the program. All essential equipment, including safety gear, boards, and boats, is provided to create a secure and enjoyable experience. Participants are encouraged to bring personal items such as a cap, long-sleeved wetsuit or rash vest, old trainers or water shoes, snacks, lunch, and a water bottle for the day.
The camp schedule is designed to give children the chance to experience as many activities as possible, while remaining flexible according to weather and safety conditions. If certain water activities cannot proceed due to unsuitable conditions, instructors arrange alternative options such as land-based games, creative challenges, and other group activities to ensure an enjoyable experience.
Families can choose between individual camp days or a full-week program, making it easy to fit the adventure into different schedules. During extended pickup times, children can take part in activities such as helping with equipment preparation, playing games, or watching a movie. We had a great experience with Alive Outside for our daughter’s 8th birthday party. The staff were amazing - really helpful in assisting us both in the run up to the party and on the day. The kids absolutely loved Lauren and all the activities they got involved in. Especially the toasting marshmallows!! They all said it was a fantastic party! We would 100% book again and would absolutely recommend.
We had my daughter's 12th birthday here and did the Irelands Fittest Family inspired courses. The girls had a great time and were really pushed to their limits. Dean was a great instructor and made it really fun for the girls. He focused on it being teamwork rather than competitive between them and it was lovely to see them working together and helping each other. Would definitely recommend it although it's not easy.
