This tour begins at the historic bay where the Portuguese first landed in 1419/20 on the southeast coast, offering a glimpse into the island’s rich history. From there, the journey continues along the ancient royal footpath, where the intricate geometry of Madeira’s oldest terraces unfolds along beaten tracks crossing the indigenous forest. Travelers are immersed in the serene and isolated rural villages, experiencing a side of Madeira rarely seen by casual visitors.
The tour combines cultural insights with stunning landscapes, leading participants from sea level up to the island’s highest mountains. Along the way, breathtaking trails and panoramic views create a memorable journey through Madeira’s natural and historical wonders, making it an enriching and scenic adventure for all.

I took my two daughters on a jeep safari trip of the Eastern part of the island . Our driver Luis was helpful and funny. His driving was skilful, his manner courteous and professional. We drove to the highest peak accessible by car, walked a shady levada, fed the birds by hand, marvelled at the cliffs, were thrilled by the offloading ride and the rocky shores. Great day trip, pick up and drop off at our hotel was a definite plus. Thank you Luis for bandaging my knee!

Wonderful day trip with David Great tour of some beautiful spots in Madeira. Great fun for the children ages 7 and 9. Good local advice from David and we learned a lot about the landscape farming culture and people of Madeira!

Our trip was booked on 01. Feb. 2025 and was canceled by the company the evening before due to not enough participants. As we had planned the trip for my wifes birthday, this was disappointing. Then they offered us to participate in a trip on the next day. This turned out to be a very pleasant journey. Our guide, DINO, was very knowledgeable and funny, which made the experience even more memorable. We drove roads where we would be even afraid to walk and are pretty sure that without DINO we would never have been to some of the places. We would highly recommend this tour and our driver DINO.

This was one of the best excursions I've done anywhere ever! We were lucky with the weather as it was clear with good visibility across the mountains and sunny all day, but it was such a superb experience it would have been great without it! First of all the vehicle (Land Rover Defender) was in good shape and performed brilliantly. It was open top and enabled all round views and an exciting off-road experience! More importantly, the guide EDDIE was an absolute rockstar and an excellent host. Deeply knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, locations and history, he was also a total badace behind the wheel and provided enough entertainment to keep us thoroughly engaged for the duration of the trip. Eight hours door to door including levada walk (easy and unaccompanied), breaks and lunch, the time just flew by and I feel like we really got to know the island. By far the best thing we've done on holiday on Madeira, I unreservedly recommend this trip.

Trips were very nice organized, they did not let us to be bored. We saw many places by safari car, which couldn't be reached by other transport - well maybe except mountain cows :) Our guide was very nice and helpfull and told us many interesting facts of Madeira - thank you so much Antonio for amazing experience and your driving skills!
