The older woman that manages/works here was quite nasty to me upon my first visit into this establishment. No hello greeting and then when I preceded to try on a pair of sunglasses I stated that I really liked the sunglasses on me. Que the woman coming out from the counter area, darting over to my left side, across the room, only to exclaim sharply that "I don't like them on you!". I responded by stating that I never asked her opinion, to which she snapped "Well I'm Only Saying". I asked was she the manager to which she replied that she was. She darted back behind the counter with her head held down, face disgruntled, only to chirp up again when someone she knew came through the door and the two women began having a grand chat. By then, I just put the sunglasses back and walked out. That woman embarrassed herself that day. To make matters worse, upon leaving a review of my dissatisfaction here, it was quickly taken down. Cannot recommend this place as a result of total unprofessional behavior and refusal to acknowledge an attitude problem and fix it.
Fantastic brand, beautiful products with a large selection of balanced fragrances. Outstanding quality and attention to detail, very rare to find a fragrance company that literally every scent is stunning. Keep up the good work & remember folks we must promote our home grown Irish small businesses.
I received a beautiful gift of candle, diffuser and hand cream at Christmas and can hardly express how impressed and delighted I am with them. The smell is lovely and really long lasting - visitors always want to know what it is! I hadn’t heard of Brooke and Shoals before but am now a definite fan and look forward to trying their other scents and products. Their packaging is also beautiful and of course it’s a bonus that they are an Irish company 💝
I have used Brooke and Shoals candles for years, usually placing one in the hall so that its delicious scent permeates the whole house (helping to disguise various canine and feline odours too...!) A recent purchase of my favourite scent seemed to us to be not quite right (perhaps a misplaced label on the candle container) so I wrote to B&S about this. I got a most concerned response from Liz, who dealt with my issue by replacing the candle in question, and also sending a diffuser in the same beautiful scent. I could not have asked for better customer care, and will continue as an appreciative supporter of this fabulous home-grown business. Thank you Liz ✨🕯️✨
The ladies in the shop were lovely. They played with my son and his little friend while I picked out gifts for my friends. They were very nice and wrapped the gifts beautifully for me. My friends loved their candles. Very high quality products and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend everyone to visit this shop.
