The PADI Deep Diver course is a two-day program designed for certified Advanced Open Water divers who want to expand their skills and experience deeper dives safely. This course involves four dives to depths ranging from twenty six to forty meters, combined with PADI Deep Diving E-Learning to prepare you for the challenges of deep water exploration. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you will dive at iconic sites such as Manta Arch to see Grey Nurse sharks, the depths of Buchannan’s Wall, and the deep gutters of Cable Trail. Throughout the course, you will learn essential deep diving techniques, dive planning, organization, and safety procedures. Participants have the option to combine this course with an Enriched Air Nitrox rating, allowing longer bottom times while staying within safe limits, enhancing the overall diving experience.
The course includes four guided boat dives at the Solitary Islands Marine Park, providing access to rich marine life and stunning underwater landscapes. E-Learning materials are provided in your personal PADI library for lifetime access, and training is conducted in small groups for a more personalized experience. Additional skills taught include narcosis awareness and safe SMB deployment. Equipment hire is not included, and all dives are subject to weather and availability. Upon completion, divers receive their PADI Deep Diver certification, which counts towards the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating, allowing further progression in the PADI system while enjoying thrilling deep diving adventures in one of Australia’s most scenic marine environments.

I had an absolutely fantastic weekend doing my orientation dive (and fun dives) with Ocean Divers at Killary Fjord! From the moment I arrived every member of staff and all the other divers were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was supportive and relaxed, making it easy to feel comfortable even if you’re just starting out like me (10 dives previously). There were a lot of divers, but each in small groups with their own dive master or dive instructor and grouped together in the OW/AOW courses or fun dives. While I had already done my OW elsewhere, I’ll definitely be doing the advanced course and further dives with these guys as the level of dedication and commitment that goes into making their students be successful divers is visible. Bring a bit of patience for the initial response period if you reach out during a very busy time - it‘s hard to respond when you’re always in the water 😄 but I honestly can’t recommend them enough if you’re looking to become a good diver and explore Irelands underwater world with a genuinely lovely group of people.

I’m doing the drysuit diver course with Oceandivers at the moment. I was having trouble getting my buoyancy right, so had six pool sessions to get it right at no extra charge!! What a crew Oceandivers have. There was no pressure, just take your time and get it right. Dan is always on hand to help you out and the rest of the lads are so helpful. I had my first sea dive for the buoyancy certification today off Dalkey island. It was fantastic!! The extra lessons really paid off. I cannot recommend the Oceandivers crew highly enough. It is and has been a pleasure working with Oceandivers to get my drysuit certification. Can’t wait to get back in the water with the crew!!

Did my Open Water course with Ocean Divers and couldn’t have asked for a better experience – especially on the trip out to Killary Harbour. Alan and Dan are absolute legends. They keep things calm, clear, and enjoyable from start to finish, and they’ve got a brilliant way of building your confidence without overcomplicating anything. Killary was a cracking spot to dive, and the lads made sure everyone got the most out of it, no matter their level. The whole vibe was relaxed but totally professional – you always felt in safe hands. Already looking forward to coming back for my Advanced course.
