Meet-a-Cheetah

Join Solo the cheetah at his lookout for an unforgettable 15-minute encounter. During this experience, you will accompany Solo on his daily outing to the lookout, providing hands-on enrichment for this incredible predator under the guidance of an experienced zookeeper. The session allows a maximum of four guests per encounter and offers a unique opportunity to learn about cheetah behavior, their conservation in the wild, and the care provided by the zoo. Guests may even get a chance to pat Solo, all while receiving expert insights and close-up observation of one of Australia’s most majestic big cats.

Please note that safety is paramount. Cheetahs are wild predators and can take an interest in unusual items, small or physically impaired guests, or playful over-engagement. Participants must have good mobility, motor skills, and be able to respond quickly to zookeeper directions, including standing or kneeling as required. Those with physical impairments or restricted movement may still attend but may not be able to pat the cheetah. Zoo entry is included, and guests should bring comfortable shoes. Any concerns regarding eligibility should be discussed with the zoo before booking, as last-minute cancellations due to unmet requirements are non-refundable.
