PADI Enriched Air Diver

The Enriched Air Diver course is a land-based program that teaches you how to dive safely using Enriched Air, also known as nitrox or EANx. Nitrox contains a higher percentage of oxygen and less nitrogen than regular air, allowing you to enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals. This makes it a popular specialty among divers looking to extend their underwater time while managing nitrogen exposure more effectively. The course combines online independent study with practical hands-on exercises under the guidance of a PADI Instructor, giving you both the knowledge and the skills needed to dive safely with Enriched Air.

During the course, you’ll learn how to analyze your tanks, safely plan nitrox dives, and correctly set your dive computer for enriched air diving. By completing the practical exercises and meeting course requirements, you will earn your first PADI specialty certification. To participate, you need to hold a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver certification or an equivalent qualification. While the course itself is land-based, divers can book a separate double dive using nitrox to immediately apply their new skills and enjoy extended underwater exploration.
