The Wonders of Wildlife (WOW) experience is an extraordinary full-day, behind-the-scenes adventure designed for true wildlife enthusiasts. Over seven immersive hours, you’ll take part in some of the most hands-on, interactive, and conservation-focused animal activities available anywhere. Guided by expert keepers, you may feel the tough texture of a rhino’s skin, hand-feed giraffes, meet lions, tigers, and sun bears, interact with meerkats and endangered tree kangaroos, and even step inside a cheetah enclosure for an up-close encounter. You’ll also explore off-display reptile collections, hand-feed various primates, and help prepare enrichment such as hiding breakfast for the sun bears—all experiences far beyond what an average zoo visitor ever sees. A delicious lunch is included to keep you energized throughout this once-in-a-lifetime day.
While the WOW experience aims to include a wide variety of animals, all interactions are dependent on animal health, interest, time, and operational needs. Some encounters may vary or change unexpectedly due to veterinary care, enclosure maintenance, or scheduling limitations. Guests must check in at Jamala Wildlife Lodge reception, and masks may be required when working with certain primate species. Closed, comfortable shoes are essential for safely moving through behind-the-scenes areas. This unforgettable experience offers unparalleled access, meaningful conservation insight, and memories that last a lifetime.

This aquarium and wildlife conservatory was amazing! It was worth the price of admission! It took about 1.5-2 hours to go through the whole thing. And we went quicker than others. I took over 100 pictures in it. We did not have kids with us and it was great to do as adults too!

This was the most wonderful experience. My son and I decided to go on a Monday to avoid crowds, and the flow was perfect. There were a lot of people there but it wasn’t congested or crowded. The Christmas lights were beautiful, the facility was extremely clean and we were so impressed with how healthy the fish and other wildlife appeared. Their habitats were very clean and you can tell they are all well cared for. We also were able to pet and feed the stingrays and we enjoyed this so much that we visited the stingray pool twice. Staff were approachable, friendly, and knowledgeable. Loved the museums, they were also clean and well maintained. We had a late lunch at Hemingway’s-food was excellent and the staff were great. The ambience was so cozy-there is a large fireplace with couches available and the aquarium in the bar area is very relaxing to look at. We have visited many aquariums across the US and this was in the top 3 for us. We will definitely visit again!

We headed north to Springfield, MO and spent four hours exploring the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium and the iconic Bass Pro Shops. If you plan to go — bring comfortable shoes, a light jacket (if you’re cold-natured), and plenty of free time. It’s the largest and most immersive fish and wildlife attraction in the world, and it truly lives up to the hype. Johnny Morris doesn’t hold back when he brings his visions to life. Every gallery tells a story — from record-setting game animals to the incredible history behind the wonders of wildlife. Every detail is perfectly placed and thoughtfully designed.

The Museum and aquarium are both spectacular. I heard great things but all my expectations were far exceeded. The aquarium especially is just gorgeous. The variety and cleanliness of each exhibit is amazing and the staff is very friendly. If you get a chance to do any of the experiences there, the guides are super kind and knowledgeable. I was there a couple weeks ago and honestly want to fly back just to go visit again. I can’t recommend it enough!

I love coming to the aquarium and especially bringing our grand littles! I love watching their face light up s they watch in awe of all the sea creatures! The jelly fish and petting the stingrays are my absolute favorite!!! Highly recommend visiting. I always plan on returning because it never gets old! 🤌💯✨️🫶
