Jervis Bay, celebrated as a Marine Park for over 20 years, is home to one of Australia’s most unique and healthy ecosystems. Its crystal-clear waters support a thriving population of over 100 Bottlenose Dolphins, offering visitors a remarkable wildlife experience. On the Dolphin Tour, you’ll have the privilege of observing these playful and intelligent mammals in their natural habitat. Pods of dolphins are often seen feeding around the reef systems, especially near Plantation Point and Callala, and they sometimes swim alongside the boat, racing and leaping near the bow, providing an unforgettable encounter. Their long snouts and distinctive “smiles” make them instantly recognisable, and their friendly, active behaviour captivates visitors of all ages.
During the summer months, the Dolphin Tour is combined with the popular summer boom netting tour for those interested, available at an additional cost. The tour accommodates children from 2 to 14 years old, with infants under 23 months classed separately. Wheelchair access is available with prior arrangement through the booking office. This experience provides a wonderful opportunity to connect with marine life, learn about the local ecosystem, and create lasting memories for the whole family.
