Groups at the camp are organised based on age, ability, and friendships to ensure participants are comfortable and supported while learning. All safety equipment, boards, and boats are provided, and experienced instructors guide every activity. Participants are required to bring a cap, long sleeve wetsuit or rashie, old trainers or water shoes, recess, lunch, and a water bottle. An information sheet is provided with the enrolment form to help families prepare the appropriate clothing and gear. The camp aims to help children become confident sailors while enjoying fun and exciting adventures each day.
The schedule prioritises getting participants out on the water whenever possible, with all activities adapted to weather conditions to ensure safety. If conditions are unsuitable for sailing, alternative activities or land-based sessions, such as theory, drills, and sailing-related games, are provided. For beginners, attending a single day can be challenging, so Adventure Camp is recommended; experienced sailors may be able to join for single days. Families can also arrange for full-week attendance or combination camps by contacting the office.

Sarah

Our 13 & 17 year old just completed a week of sailing. They both loved every minute, including their first day that was too windy to sail. They both are hoping to keep sailing. As tourists this was also a great way to experience Ireland.
Luca

Highly recommend this sailing school! Knowledgeable instructors, excellent equipment, and a hands-on approach make learning to sail both fun and effective. Great experience for all skill levels!
Lisa

The rib tour of Dublin Bay was our favorite tour during our time in Ireland!!! We learned about the rich history of the port, the East and west piers and some of the islands, while we had breath-taking views of the coast and the wide-open sea. Our skipper was kind, knowledgeable, and passionate! A quick train from Dublin City center takes you out of the city to the beach in about 20 minutes (€5/each from Tara Station) This is a must do!
Leisa

Wow what an experience. We went on an amazing rib tour last weekend, a very professional company, wonderful skipper, incredible views. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic experience, all around. Very happy with my 5 day “Competent Crew” course with John, as well as my “Day Skipper Practical” with Gary - fantastic teacher; I learned a ton and had a lot of fun doing so. From the office staff who helped to organise, to everyone from INSS whom I met - class group of staff and instructors. Looking forward to future classes with INSS very much. Very, very highly recommended!
