A boat tour through the Gulf of Poets is an unforgettable experience that reveals one of the most enchanting stretches of coastline in Italy at the most magical time of day. As you glide across the clear waters of the gulf, you will admire breathtaking scenery, dramatic cliffs rising above the sea, and picturesque fishing villages such as Portovenere, Tellaro, and Lerici, each filled with charm, history, and maritime beauty. Along the way, there will be peaceful pauses that invite you to relax, enjoy refreshing swims, and take a moment to appreciate the vibrant life beneath the surface of the water, accompanied by local food, fine wine, and gentle music that completes the atmosphere.
This is far more than a simple boat ride. The experience offered is a dreamlike journey crafted with passion, authenticity, and a deep connection to the land. Born and raised in these waters, your captain knows every hidden corner of the coastline and shares it with a warm and welcoming spirit, adapting the tour to suit your wishes and creating memories that linger long after the journey ends. Guided by a dedication to safety and comfort, the itinerary may be shaped by sea and weather conditions, yet every alternative reveals equally beautiful and sheltered places that preserve the magic of the Gulf of Poets.

A bit of La Spezia culture, a bit of history, a lot of water and one hell of an amazing experience. As impromptu booking from the night before turned out to be one of the highlights of my 1st (but definitely not the last) time to Italy. Special thanks to Capitan Amos (our guide) - his warm smile and friendly hello/ciao made this solo traveller feel welcome. His knowledge of the area, his quirky personality and contagious energy made the experience all that more special. I would 100% recommend the experience for anyone passing La Spezia!

WOW really the Cinque Terre tour was such a great experience seriously! So unique and really a must do if you’re in this area!!! Really the entire trip was planned really detailed and everything from the begging to the end worked out perfectly without any problems. You get treated really nicely once you get there and the boat is really cool! At first we passed Porto venere- which was really impressive! After that we drove past the church there and then we drove a higher speed- which was so fun- until we reached the parks of the cinque Terre. We got to see all of the five little towns from up close, one prettier than the other, really so worth it. Our captain was so kind and funny and explained everything to us (both in English and Spanish!). He really took his time and after the first two stops we got to jump into the water and feed fish! The water was so nice! At the end we got an hour time to walk around monterosso al mare- which was luckily not that crowded and so beautiful! We had a great time there. Really if you want to see all the cinque Terre towns from the water without stress, you should definitely book this tour! When we drove back, we got out on the sea and drove back full speed with the best music playlist! Really great experience! A must do! Especially thanks to our great captain, we had a lot of fun! Really worth the money!

This boat tour was incredible, our guide Dario made the effort to speak our language (French) while it was planned in English. We bathed in a beautiful cove, with no people around, it was great. Dario was very warm and we highly recommend this tour.

We had a great time, a superb visit to the Gulf of Poets, Portovenere and the neighboring islands! We got to try some fougasses, with a glass of prosecco! All of this was accompanied by swimming breaks! Dario, our guide, was awesome. Even though he only spoke English and Italian, he spoke a little French to us, which was really nice! We highly recommend this excursion.

Dario was a super skipper.. he showed us really nice places, we saw (and swam in between) a lot of fish during snorkling. Good food and drinks. And the tour was about 20mins more than 3 hours, so they are not ‘strictly watching the clock’.. can really recommend!

Great tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide on every boat. Highly recommend each of their adventures. Amazing views, chances to get a nice dip in the water (when theres not jellyfish 😆) and some time in one of the waterfront villages. Amazing.

We had the 3 hour long, 3 island tour. It was fabulous, and enjoyable. Our guide was friendly and informative. For the price, it’s a good deal to see all the islands and Portovenere.

Eine wunderschöne Tour, der Guide hat uns trotz unruhiger See einen unvergesslichen Tag bereitet. Getränke und Essen an Bord waren super. Würden wir immer wieder machen.

We loved the tour! It was smooth, well-organized, and a fantastic way to explore the Cinque Terre coastline. Serena, Tom, and Francesco were friendly, professional, and made us feel very welcome from the start. The boat was clean, fast, and comfortable. It fits around 10–12 people. The pricing was very reasonable considering the quality of the experience. In fact, we enjoyed the first tour so much that we booked a second one on the same day. Traveling by boat makes it so much easier and faster to visit multiple towns in one day, without the hassle of trains or crowds. We had a one hour stop in Monterosso to see around and swim at the beach. Francesco gave us another chance to swim in the deep blue, crystal-clear waters away from the beach! I wish we had more swim stops, but the ones we had were great. Above all what really mattered to us was how welcoming Hophoptour was to our bull terrier. Pet-friendly, good value, stunning views, and top-notch service. Thank you for the great day.
