A Dream Boat Tour with Francesca in La Spezia Our boat ride with Francesca on the Poetessa in May 2025 was the absolute highlight of our seven-day holiday in Italy. Francesca created a truly unforgettable experience — warm, personal, and full of heart. She even brought fishing gear for our enthusiastic 6-year-old son, which made his dreams come true! Listen up - I can be a really demanding CEO type & generally have high expectations. I rarely write reviews unless someone goes way above or well below expectations. Francesca is just a wonderful person…authentic…real…warm & a wonderful Captain. They say a picture is worth a thousand words & the Polaroids were a gift from our beloved Captain…check the photos for our swim cove, rich history, WWII memorial honoring fallen American Pilots & most importantly my 8 year old Daughters comments: “she’s the best and nice!”
Incredible boat tour with a Francesca that was born in La Spezia and really knows the territory and it’s stories. If you a looking for a real connection with the Gulf and it’s people, I really recommend this experience!
Had the best day of the trip on the water with Francesca. We went on a swimming, snorkeling tour and caught the sunset on the gulf of poets. She had lots of knowledge of the history of the coast and locations, overall was an excellent experience. If you want to see La Spezia from the water you couldn’t ask for a better guide than Francesca!
