We had an incredible visit to Occhipinti during harvest season. We learned so much about the wine making process and regional varietals from our guide Marica. Highly recommend for any natural wine lovers!
The tour was amazing. The grounds and winemaking process are truly unique. We did only the tour and tasting without a full meal so I can’t comment on that but what we do there was top notch. The cellar was really wonderful to see. The style of wine they produce hear were not my personal favorites but everything else make it worth a visit.
We had an awesome tasting experience here and would highly recommend a visit. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, we got to see the cellar and vineyards, and had great small bites served with the wine. Well worth the trip.
I had heard so many great reviews about Occhipinti wines in the wine industry and it totally met the expectations and even exceeded them! My personal favourites were SM Grillo 2021, PT 2019 and Cerasuolo di Vittoria 2018. Definitely will recommend to taste them if you get a chance and all of their other wines! It’s a winery with their own philosophy towards sustainable viticulture, having a small veggie garden and fruit trees next to the vineyards for the biodiversity. Marica was a very friendly and knowledgeable host, it was a big pleasure to be hosted by her. Many thanks for a great experience 🙏🥂♥️
