Great Tea ! Very flavourful and delicious tea !

We visited in kurugama tea factory for first time. We don’t have any idea if that place will have many visitors 😊 so happy to visit here for free! Also you can enjoy a cup of tea free🩷 ayuboan 😇

Good place to buy tea and also see how actual processed tea is made from the raw meterial

Actually the tour was ok and we even had the option to try some nice tea so far nothing wrong with it. So why just one star? We bought two tin cans of tea, one small can with kadugannawa flowery pekoe and one big can called Lemon Kiss which the attendant described as Earl Grey with Lemon Gras. Since there was no reason to doubt her words I bought it. After we left Kandy I saw on the Ingredients list that it contains orange pieces and orange liquids and no Bergamotte at all. Well I don't like orange and my wife is allergic to it. Great find, that makes me doubt the whole authenticity of this so called first Class Tea. Too bad that I didn't simply bought Earl Grey

Kurugama tea factory produces orthodox leafy black tea under western medium category.
