What an amazing two hours spent on the Mangroves at Bentota. Our captain Coca was amazing, he knew exactly where to find the wildlife and no rush to move on. Monkeys, crocodiles, lizards, birds. Fantastic. Price is reasonable and no extra selling points. Definitely a must. We did it as a stop off on our travels from Unawatuna to Negombo to break up the journey. Well done Coca and Bentota STT.
We had a great time on our water safari. Our captain took his time to show us the local wildlife, explain the surroundings and gave us a coconut each to drink from. He was very good at spotting the crocodiles and monitors. He always offered to take photos and stayed a bit extra so we could see the sunset. Would definitely recommend!
Many animals spotted during this safari by catamaran driver & guide, Visantha. The animals came in fast & furious- saw a crocodile, baby crocodile, kingfisher, fruit bats, chameleon, monkey (managed to feed monkeys), mangroves (entrances are beautiful),snake, monitor lizards. Amazing views! Pls tip ur driver cos they make an effort to find & point out the animals. Full 2 hrs boat ride. Bring a cap & sunglasses & a bottle of water. Lather sunscreen. Highly recommended!
