Embark on a cultural exploration of Boa Vista, beginning with the scenic Via Pitoresca and passing through the Clotilde Forest, a serene oasis of date palms and acacias set against the island’s arid landscape. The journey continues to Cabo de Santa Maria Beach, also known as Atalanta Beach, where the wreckage of the Santa Maria ship can be admired and visitors can learn about the conservation work being carried out to protect sea turtles. Along the way, you will visit Fátima Bay to see the restored Fátima Chapel, David Beach, and learn about the history of the Benoliel family. The tour then moves to the Jewish Cemetery near Cruz Beach before arriving in Sal Rei, where a walking tour reveals the charm of the town. Stroll through the old fishing port with views of Sal Rei Islet and the Duke of Bragança Fort, visit the former Federal Revenue Office now serving as the House of Culture, and explore the old tuna factory. The tour continues through Largo de Santa Isabel with its emblematic buildings, ending at the municipal market and craft street, where there is time for shopping and immersion in local culture.
