This exceptional glassblowing experience offers participants a magical opportunity to work closely with master glassblowers and immerse themselves in the artistry of molten glass. From an initial online consultation to discuss your creative ideas to hands-on guidance in the studio, you will be supported every step of the way in bringing your glass masterpiece to life. The day is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the techniques, tools, and creativity involved in professional glassblowing while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
During the session, you will follow strict health and safety guidelines and enjoy the chance to shape and craft your own piece under the expert supervision of the glassblowers. The studio environment can get quite warm, so wearing cool, layered clothing and sturdy, closed-toe footwear is recommended. Long hair should be tied back for safety, and participants are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle. Arriving slightly early is advised to allow for parking and preparation, and please note this activity is suitable only for those aged sixteen and above.

We did the Tuesday evening wonky star stain glass taster session and it was such a lovely way to spend and evening. It was a 2 hour session and located in the Union Art Club! We had a great time getting to go through the whole process form selecting the glass colours to soldering it all together. Alison gave us great demonstrations and guidance through it all. We had no experience and making the “wonky” stars meant that it was going to come out cute no matter what! They aren’t meant to be perfect! It was a great date night but would also be a great activity to do with a friend group! Can’t wait to go back!!
Niamh and I just finished a one-day stained glass workshop here. Alison is an amazing teacher and walked our group through the process of making a really nice piece each. This is a great way to spend a day, and we got to take home our trophy pieces at the end. Lovely idea for a gift too!
I would highly recommend the 1 day stained glass course. Alison is a brilliant teacher and will show you all the steps in detail. You will leave with a complete piece of your own to enjoy at the end of the day.
Had such a great day-long session today in WildBird Studio. We were provided with and taught how to use all the tools necessary to complete our pieces. Allison provided us with 4 different patterns to choose from and we can pick out colours we wanted to use for our designs (everything in the rainbow and more!). The small group size was great for 1-to-1 time and get all our questions answered. Really great vibe and music choices too. Went home feeling inspired and with a beautiful piece of work I made myself, thanks to all the experience of the instructor, Allison. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for more sessions.
I have wanted to do this one day stained glass workshop for a while. I really enjoyed the class. Alison is a natural at teaching and explains everything so clearly. Alison has such a warm personality and the class was so relaxed that I did not notice the time go by. It has left me wanting to explore this craft more. Thank you for a wonderful day.
