Step into the heart of Rome and journey through centuries of history as you begin your exploration in the enchanting Piazza Navona, one of the city’s most captivating squares. Known for its artistic charm and vibrant atmosphere, the square is home to three magnificent fountains, masterpieces of Baroque design created under the papacy of Gregory XIII. At the center stands Bernini’s stunning Fountain of the Four Rivers, a grand representation of beauty and power crafted in the seventeenth century. From this breathtaking setting, descend below the bustling streets to uncover the ancient Stadium of Domitian, the hidden world that lies beneath Piazza Navona. Once a grand arena dedicated to athletic competitions and later repurposed for gladiatorial events, this site offers a fascinating glimpse into Rome’s imperial past. As your journey continues, resurface to visit the majestic Pantheon, a timeless monument where history and legend intertwine. According to ancient lore, this is the sacred spot where Romulus, the founder of Rome, was lifted to the heavens by an eagle, uniting with the gods. Next, stroll to the world-famous Trevi Fountain, a baroque masterpiece of art and movement, where tradition invites you to toss a coin into its shimmering waters to ensure your return to Rome. Conclude your experience by delving once more into the city’s hidden depths at Vicus Caprarius, the City of Water. This remarkable underground site reveals the remnants of an imperial-era residence and the ancient Aqua Virgo aqueduct, forming an intricate labyrinth that tells the story of Rome’s enduring connection with its past.

Very nice cave. We were lucky as they did not have a tour in English that day but Valerio was very kind to offer us a nearly private tour just for us. Thank you!
Jaya

The Labyrinth tour was a wonderful surprise. Our guide Guiseppe was knowledgeable and engaging. Learning about the history and the preservation of the area was so interesting. I would highly recommend!

We had an amazing tour with Leonardo! This is definitely one of those “off beaten paths” - particularly in Rome where there is so much history and so much to offer outside the historic centre! Definitely recommend this if you want an insight on the undergrounds of Rome!

Excellent tour, if you look for offbeaten path. Such a great time with kind guide Daniela. We booked the much cheaper tour in italian and we liked it anyway, Daniela translated from time to time the most important stuff. The greatest was the stop at the Mithraen picture. My 9 year old liked it too. Recommend.

This is not a tour but an expedition into the realm of underground Rome. You literally venture deep beneath the earth to a place with unfriendly terrain, stark temperature fluctuations, and darkness. Accompanied by an actual Archeologist, you are fitted with a helmet, a flashlight, and must crawl and climb to explore the ruins, catacombs, and ancient temples from a world long forgotten. This experience is a hidden masterpiece that feels like a real life Indiana Jones movie!
