My wife and I booked a private Christmas tour and hands down the best Christmas tour in Paris!! Milan was our tour leader and he was very attentive, informative and funny (also a great photographer!). He showed us all what Paris had to offer during the festivities with lights, markets, landmarks, even with some traditional Vin Chauds! Next time in Paris for the holidays, Milan is the best. Thank you Milan for a wonderful time and the champagne!!
What an experience! 5 Stars does not justify the experience that Milan provided me on my trip to Paris. The experience was gifted to me by my daughter due to my passion for the American Revolution and the relationship between France, the country that I love and the United States at that time. Milan's depth of knowledge was incredible, often providing little known back stories that are not found in history books. Milan had a way of "telling a story" that was easy to understand but rich with meaning - often weaving little teasers that helped me connect to my relatives living in Paris at the time of the French revolution. Taking me to the only site where the guillotine was in operation outside of Place de la Concorde and recounting the terrible tragedy of the thousands of lives lost during this terrible time in France's history. Seeing the names on the chapel wall, people from all walks of life, brought home the realisation that every generation has a duty to preserve freedom. Visiting the burial site and the poignant story of Adrienne de Noailles, (Lafayette's wife) mother, sister and grandmother now resting at Cimetière de Picpus brought home the reality of this terrible time to life. I can't recommend Milan highly enough and recommend this tour to not only tourists and visitors but my countrymen as well wanting to know their history from an unbiased viewpoint. Thank you Milan. I will be back again and again and have already recommended your tours to friends and family when in Paris. (Sorry for the late review - Life has been busy).
When I think back on my trip to France, one of my first thoughts is the fantastic tour I took with Milan. I lucked out and had a private tour! I am a big history buff that did my homework before coming to France, and Milan customized the tour and was able to go more in depth than I think you would find on the average tour based on what I asked and what I already knew. His depth of knowledge was impressive. He had an answer (and a corresponding visual in his binder!) for everything. You can tell he is very passionate about history and loves sharing his knowledge with others. There were many other reasons this tour stands out as unique. This felt off the beaten path. I had the opportunity to visit Lafayette's grave. Coincidentally, on another walking tour a few days later, my tour guide asked "does anyone know where the only American flag flying during the German occupation of Paris was?" and of course, thanks to Milan, I knew the answer. The other tour guide said I was the first person in his 10 years of providing tours to know, and that just speaks to all the knowledge Milan was able to impart during our French Revolution tour. In addition, Milan took me to his small farm in the middle of Paris and let me try tomatoes, green beans, and figs! Such a memorable experience. It didn't feel like a scripted tour. It felt like 2 individuals passionate about history talking in depth about little known facts about the Revolution. I learned some SHOCKING facts from Milan. For example, did you know that the guillotine was used in France until 1977?!?! I could go on and on, but in short, I highly recommend for history lovers.
Milan deserves 5 stars, and about 100 more! My family has now done 2 tours with him, and I can promise you every time I return to Paris, I will do another. In December, Milan took us on a "Christmas Lights in Paris" tour which was absolutely magical. Despite the very busy season, he knew exactly how to get a group of 7 of us around quickly and efficiently (including seniors and children!). He also knew all the best spots for photos - which is a very important topic. Milan takes excellent photos! Not only are you getting an expert guide on your tour, but also a very skilled photographer to capture all the important moments. When my husband and I returned to Paris in March, I had a very strange request - a photo shoot tour of the most famous Paris sites with our 2 pug dogs. Milan never questioned it at all and immediately went to work putting together an absolute amazing itinerary for great dog/family photos. Together we spent the day in a luxury vehicle, hopping from site to site taking photos of myself and my two furry babies. At the end of the tour, Milan sent me hundreds of photos he took and it was professional level photos! My sweet old man pug, Thor, passed away less than a month after our tour and the photos we took that day have become infinitely more important to me. Without Milan being so willing to make my wishes come to life, I would not have the memories I have today. Milan is not only professional, he is a genuine good and kind person who makes being around enjoyable. I have never written a review where I truly feel like 5 stars is not enough. If you are in Paris and want to do a tour, Milan should be your first and only choice.
My husband and I had a lovely time on our tour with Milan! It was the perfect way for us to see some of the main sights on our first trip to Paris. Milan customized the tour to include some of the specific sights I mentioned I was interested in seeing, and he had wonderful insight into the history of Paris. He was even able to secure us a time slot to go inside Notre Dame without waiting in line. It was such a nice surprise (especially since I had been trying to get tickets for days unsuccessfully). In addition, he gave us some great recommendations on places to eat and other sights to see on the rest of our trip. He is also a wonderful photographer which is an added bonus. Since our tour was on NYE he gifted us a lovely bottle of champagne from a small vineyard. I would highly recommend any of Milan’s tours. I hope to be able enjoy one of this picnic tours the next time we are in Paris.
We loved our bike tour, a fabulous way to see Paris, especially at night.
Our guide (a young man from Greece) was super lovely, funny, kind and knowledgeable. The tour was sold as a Christmas lights tour which wasn’t really what we got, we did see some beautiful lights but not as many as I’d expect given it was sold specifically as a Christmas lights tour which was a little disappointing. But the tour itself was great nonetheless, really fun and enjoyable for us and our two kids (11 and 15), a brilliant way to see Paris by night. I’d recommend it!
