We absolutely enjoyed our vacation at Xcaret! We had the junior suite and our butlers were amazing! Andrea, Christopher, and Brandon were so helpful and kind. Highly recommend this service if you can get it. The water parks were clean and organized. The food at every restaurant was delicious, which is rare for an all inclusive. Lots of vegetarian options. Menus have vegan options as well. All bathrooms were so clean. Xcaret is great for kids age 2-16. The kids club was so fun for our kids and they wanted to go back! Jordan our driver (private) was friendly and gave us great advice on where to eat and what to do. The check in process was tedious, esp after a long travel day. I recommend reserving restaurants prior to coming as things fill up very quickly. We reserved Fuego and they didn’t tell us this was not included until we got there. Luis at Fuego was great! He helped us navigate the menu and wine list. Additionally, we had reservations (party of 12) at Cuevas. They told us they couldn’t accommodate 12 and had to split us up. It was tough as we had 6 kids. We would’ve liked to know ahead of time if this was the case. Overall, great time and will definitely come back!

I genuinely really liked this hotel and we would come back. The rooms were excellent - spacious, comfy beds, clean, well designed. I really appreciated little details such as them leaving toiletries such as toothbrushes, razors and shower caps for you; these were all thoughtful touches. The food is fantastic for an all inclusive. Las cuevas was our favourite restaurant for dinner. I thought the breakfast place could maybe do less dishes but more of the popular options, as a lot of the “good” food options such as the pancakes would run out immediately. The drinks were great in the resort, and there were a lot of food options. Generally good things to say about the gastronomy here. There are endless things to do activity wise, which keeps the whole family entertained. This was a really nice stand out point for the hotel. The hotel is vast and there are tonnes of amazing pool areas to chill out in, the resort is well designed and is beautifully done. It was a very pleasant place to be. All round we had a great experience, and I want to make it clear all round it was positive and we would definitely come back. However, there are a few things I think the could improve on: The check in really needs to be sorted out - it took us over an hour to check in and we saw the queue a lot longer than that during our stay here. When people have travelled a long time to get there, particularly for families with small children, it’s a complete pain to have to wait that long. The process really needs to be quicker and there needs to be more staff working on the desk. Generally the wait times for breakfast, lunch and dinner places is pretty frustrating. The restaurants would never be full but you often had to wait long times to get a table - I presume this is to do with staffing issues and therefore only wanting to have the restaurant at a partially full capacity but nonetheless it’s frustrating having to constantly wait. For the places where you can pre-book (my comment above was about the walk-in restaurants) I would also say that the whole process of getting a booking for dinner is painful- it’s exceptionally difficult so I’d book far in advance, we were unable to get any fairly last minute reservations. Lastly, I would really appreciate a list of all the restaurants and their opening times upon arrival. It’s not really clear from the website what places you can go to for lunch, what bars are open when, and what places you can make reservations at. This information would’ve made the stay smoother. Despite a few criticisms, I really liked this place and I recommend it.

The place is very beautiful, but there are no signs indicating where to go or which path to follow. The internet doesn't work properly, the furniture in the room was stained, and the staff doesn't provide accurate information, plus the app in my cell it doesn’t allow you to use it. The price is very high for what you get. Access to other facilities is very difficult because there are no clear entrances or exits; anyone can get lost in that place, and even worse, because of the lack of signs, you end up near the water on the first and second floors. The buildings don't have connections to the central pathway, let alone to the bus stops. The food is good, and the cleaning and room service are fine. They need to fix many things to justify the price they charge. The concierges don't care to listen; they just say, "Put it in your comments," and that's it, haha.

We recently returned from this hotel with three teenagers and three adults in two rooms and I cannot imagine a better resort. Everything is so clean, the food is great, service is amazing and there is never ending things to do. There are so many pools and beaches that it never feels crowded. I recommend booking some restaurants and parks/tour ahead of arrival but having a resort day the first day you are there to get oriented. Download the app for the map and info. The sofa bed wasn't bad and I had no problem sleeping on it all week. Bring watershoes and a light packable towel if you are going to tours/parks. This would be a great resort for young kids, lots of different waterslides and protected coves for beach swimming and sandcastles.

We just came back from X caret. The resort is beautiful, lots of trees nice architecture. It is huge. You will be sure to get lost a few times but as you spend more time, you get the hang of it. Staff is helpful. Most are very friendly aside from a few that don’t smile and have a little attitude especially at the ice cream bar. If you’re working there especially with a lot of kids that will go, smile. Excursions were well organized. Buses were on time- that was great. Food- could have been better. Especially for a luxury resort we were a little disappointed. It’s not bad. But it’s not great either. Could have had a little more variety at the buffet with different foods. Breakfast was our favourite. All in all would recommend but they do need to pay more attention to elevating the food.
